Me inform\u00e9 a trav\u00e9s de varios compa\u00f1eros y me dijeron que casi estaban acabadas, que poco lograr\u00eda ver del proceso. Puff\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Con esta informaci\u00f3n me plant\u00e9 en EL REALEJO \u2026<\/p>\n<p>Al llegar a la Calle de El Sol.. sorpresa!! A\u00fan estaban enramando su cruz.. Uno de los vecinos me cont\u00f3 como iba a transcurrir todo, c\u00f3mo se hac\u00eda cada corona de flores que estaban elaborando, cuando saldr\u00eda la procesi\u00f3n de la Cruz al d\u00eda siguiente y por la noche. Me explic\u00f3 que cuando la Calle de El Sol entrega la Cruz a la Calle de El Medio siempre hay un \u201crifirafe\u201d, un te la doy pero no \u2026hasta que ocurre y comienzan los primeros fuegos, la tanda de fuegos artificiales de la Calle de El Sol.<\/p>\n<p>Fue tan amable que me llev\u00f3 a su casa y me mostr\u00f3 como se ver\u00edan los fuegos desde su azotea a la noche siguiente, y Puff\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Las Fiestas de la Cruz y Fuegos de Mayo, Inter\u00e9s Tur\u00edstico de Canarias:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c El 3 de mayo la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica dedica el d\u00eda al Santo Madero, en su fiesta de la \u201cInvenci\u00f3n de la Cruz\u201d, se debe a Santa Elena, madre del emperador Constantino, que en el a\u00f1o 326 descubri\u00f3 el lugar donde se hallaba el Santo Sepulcro en Jerusal\u00e9n y excavando a poca distancia encontr\u00f3 milagrosamente el Calvario y la Cruz del Redentor, junto a las otras dos cruces de los ladrones crucificados junto a Cristo.<br \/>\nEsta fiesta se extendi\u00f3 fervorosamente por todo el orbe cristiano, contando en Canarias con una inusitada aceptaci\u00f3n debido a la catequesis y predicaci\u00f3n franciscanas, convirti\u00e9ndose Los Realejos en la m\u00e1xima expresi\u00f3n de la misma.<br \/>\nLa fiesta consiste en que El d\u00eda 2 de mayo se enraman las cruces, especialmente en el barrio de La Cruz Santa. Por la noche del d\u00eda siguiente, en el Realejo Alto, las Calles del Medio y del Sol compiten entre s\u00ed con un espect\u00e1culo de fuegos artificiales, durante la procesi\u00f3n de La Cruz, dando origen a una de las mayores exhibiciones pirot\u00e9cnicas de Europa con m\u00e1s de 3000 mil kilos de p\u00f3lvora.<br \/>\nEstos fuegos sufragados por las distintas calles pertenecen a dos pirotecnias: la de los Hermanos Toste y la Caballer: el pique que se establece entre ambas fomenta esta ofrenda que los vecinos hacen a la Cruz sin ning\u00fan tipo de ayuda oficial. Parece que el pique viene desde muy atr\u00e1s, desde que una de las calles era donde viv\u00edan los vecinos m\u00e1s humildes y en la otra los m\u00e1s potentados\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img
